Our client is an asset and wealth management firm based in London. They are keen to hire a client executive for their institutional desk. The Institutional team predominantly manage assets on behalf of small & medium sized insurance companies across all major insurance domiciles, including Captive Insurers, Reinsurers, General Insurers and P&I clubs.
The client is looking to recruit a Client Executive whose primary responsibility will be to assist and support the client relationship management team – including the take-on of new clients, responding to and/or managing ad-hoc client queries and the production of period-end client reporting.
They will also be expected to work directly with the Relationship Managers, being involved in a variety of client work and having the opportunity to gain more responsibility for individual client relationships over time.
Principal Tasks and Accountabilities
Client Service:
- Work directly with client relationship managers on client projects, board presentations, distribution of investment commentary, etc.
- Respond to (and delegate/manage when needed) ad-hoc queries from Clients – ranging from investment market and portfolio performance questions to producing withdrawal / asset transfer instructions for Transitions.
- Ensure portfolio transfer and cash withdrawal requests are promptly actioned and coordinated with other internal teams and custodians
Reporting:
- Responsible for the generation of monthly/quarterly client accounting and investment reports (e.g. factsheets, accounting reports, etc.)., as well as ad hoc reports when required (e.g. audit requests, etc.)
- Assist in producing market and portfolio commentaries for factsheets
- Prepare client Board/Investment Committee reports as required
- Work towards improving and automating existing processes, iterating over time and using new approaches.
New Business:
- Liaise with New Business, Transitions and Custodians regarding new account set-up, asset transfers and additions for new clients.
- Responsible for ensuring all applicable due diligence is requested/received while keeping the take-on process as simple as possible for the client
- Work with the Portfolio Management team to ensuring the account(s) are correctly set up in all our client’s systems so new funds can be invested.
Management Information:
Produce high-level reports for the senior team on the status of client cash flows, market performance, assets under management, portfolio compliance etc.

Qualifications:
- Degree, preferably with a focus on accounting/economics/finance or other similar subjects.
(alternatively, completed a recognised apprenticeship scheme in the finance services industry)
- Have IMC and CFA qualifications, or a willingness/aptitude to study/pass those exams
Experience:
- 2-4 years of investment industry experience
Requirements:
- Desire and ability to work in a Client facing role
- Active interest and a good understanding of investment markets and accounting concepts
- High level of numeracy with excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, on investment markets
- Experience with other types of financial services software (i.e. Bloomberg, Portfolio Management software etc.) is desirable
- Must be able to work well under pressure with strong attention to detail
- Must be organised and able to plan routine work/prioritize tasks
