The firm manages institutional assets on behalf of pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and investment companies and is known for the rigour and depth of its quantitative research a culture built on systematic equity investing at the highest level.
THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the founders, the CIO will provide senior investment leadership across the firm's US quantitative equity strategies, while playing a key role in shaping the long-term investment vision. This includes a planned strategic expansion into international equity markets offering the incoming CIO a genuine opportunity to help build something meaningful.
This is both a strategic and intellectually demanding role. The firm's culture is research-first and the right candidate will lead from that perspective, someone whose career has been built on generating and refining investment ideas, not purely on execution or portfolio oversight.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead, develop and inspire the quantitative equity research team and PM’s.
● Oversee the firm's investment process, ensuring continued research excellence and intellectual rigour
● Partner with the founders on long-term investment strategy and the build-out of international equity capabilities
● Drive innovation across factor research, signal development and portfolio construction
● Represent the firm with institutional clients, consultants and stakeholders
● Contribute to the firm's thought leadership and academic standing within the quantitative investment community
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for a research-driven investment leader with a career trajectory that reflects intellectual depth, not just seniority. The profile that will resonate most strongly is someone who has risen through the ranks of equity quantitative research — not a Quant PM who has moved into management, but a genuine researcher who has built investment processes from the ground up.
Experience & Background
● 10–15 years of experience in quantitative equity, with a career rooted firmly in research rather than portfolio management
● Currently operating as Head of Equity Quantitative Research, Director of Research, or Deputy CIO — and ready for the step up to CIO
● Asset management background strongly preferred.
● Deep expertise in US domestic equity markets is essential; exposure to international or global equity strategies is a significant advantage given the firm's strategic direction
