Platinum & Partners is working with a proprietary trading firm specialising in systematic and high-performing discretionary strategies across global futures markets. The firm combines advanced quantitative research, sophisticated execution infrastructure and a genuinely entrepreneurial culture — and they are now hiring Futures Systematic Portfolio Managers across three locations: London, Chicago and New York.
This is a PnL-split model, not a salary seat. The firm offers up to 50% of the PnL you generate, low clearing and exchange fees, and CME 106J membership access — a structure designed to put exceptional traders in the best possible position to earn at the level their performance warrants.
THE ROLE
- Design and run fully systematic trading strategies across CME, EUREX and ICE futures - cash-settled, commodity and related instruments
- Manage intraday and short-term systematic strategies, typically holding positions intraday or up to five days
- Generate and refine alpha from exchange and derived market data; continuously optimise signal quality and strategy performance
- Operate within the firm's risk framework — strong personal discipline around risk controls is expected
- Integrate strategies directly with the firm's proprietary trading infrastructure, built for ultra-low latency and global exchange connectivity
- Work in a fast-moving, technology-first environment where you own your book and your results
WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of systematic or quantitative trading experience at a proprietary trading firm or hedge fund, focused on CME, EUREX or ICE futures; FX also considered
- Proven track record of generating profitable, systematic strategies with strong risk-adjusted returns
- Proficient in Python or C++ for strategy development, backtesting and infrastructure integration
- Strong understanding of risk controls, market microstructure and where applicable regulatory compliance
- Open to both established HFT and MFT traders, and to high-calibre discretionary traders with a genuine appetite to transition to a systematic approach
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable operating with autonomy in a lean, high-impact environment
