Role Overview

Platinum & Partners is mandated by a proprietary trading firm operating at the intersection of high-frequency trading, market making and decentralised finance. The firm trades across on-chain protocols and traditional financial markets, building its own systems and strategies entirely in-house. This is not a bank. Not a legacy institution. The codebase is modern, the team is small and elite, and engineering decisions have real and immediate market impact.

Based in Singapore - one of the world's leading hubs for systematic and digital asset trading — they are looking for a Trading Systems Engineer to join the core infrastructure team. You will help design, build and scale the low-latency systems that power execution across some of the most technically demanding trading environments globally.

The compensation reflects the seniority and scarcity of this profile: up to SGD $1M + (strong basic + bonus and business perks) comprising a strong base salary, performance bonus and full benefits. This is a top-of-market offer for the right engineer.

THE ROLE

  • Design and build low-latency, high-throughput trading systems supporting a broad range of algorithmic and HFT strategies
  • Develop and maintain robust connectivity with exchanges, on-chain protocols and traditional market venues across Asia and globally
  • Build core components across trade execution, order management and real-time market data pipelines
  • Profile, tune and optimise system performance to achieve ultra-fast execution with high reliability
  • Work directly with traders and quants to translate trading ideas into production-grade systems at speed
  • Contribute to scalable system architecture as trading volumes and market opportunities grow
  • Own operational stability in a latency-sensitive, always-on environment

WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years building and maintaining low-latency systems for algorithmic or high-frequency trading
  • Expert-level Rust or C++ — non-negotiable
  • Hands-on experience integrating exchange and broker APIs, OMS, pricing engines and smart order routers
  • Strong systems-level instincts: performance profiling, monitoring, debugging under pressure
  • Solid understanding of trading system architecture and traditional finance market structure
  • Self-starter mentality — comfortable operating at pace in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Collaborative by nature — this is a non-siloed team where engineers work directly with traders

Crypto/DeFi experience is a plus but not required — strong HFT engineers from traditional finance backgrounds are actively encouraged to apply.

Ideally you have come a prop trading background environment with strong experience in HFT.
